The speedily growing competition and a major breakthrough in IT have made marketers pay special attention to effectiveness and proficiency of all work processes. Consequently, there have been invented various applications to simplify businesses' work. Microsoft Word is one of the most generally deployed formats. Microsoft Word is a word processing application which is designed for creation of office documents, such as resumes, newsletters, fax cover sheets, audit reports, legal documents, brochures, instruction manuals etc. Microsoft Word is ordinarily used by corporate businesses, community agencies, and can be found in most educational establishments. Students deploy it daily and businessmen use it for creating professional documents. The Word document format was developed by Microsoft. It was launched under the name Multi-Tool Word. The first addition was released in the eighties. Since its release, there have been introduced several other versions, including the latest addition introduced in 2008. The next version of Word is believed to come to the market in the coming 2010. A great many new features common to other programs in the Microsoft Office 2010 will be included. The 2010 version will consist of new WordArt styles and effects supplanting the old ones. Although Word is a constituent of the Microsoft Office system, it sells as a standalone application and included in Microsoft Works Suite. Beginning with the 2003 version, the brand name was changed to emphasise Word's identity as a component within the Office Suite. Microsoft Ltd. Renamed Microsoft Word into Microsoft Office Word. Microsoft Word allows to type, format and modify text to be printed or viewed electronically. Word is a reasonably priced word processing program. The word processing program offers boundless tools and features, and a great many users are familiar and comfortable with its Microsoft toolbars. The Word file format has tools to format fonts, add clipart, add page numbers, and create tables and headers. There is even an "office assistant" cartoon that can direct a user done the creation of a document or answer any questions that may arise. |
